🌱 Have you ever become tired of doing good because it seemed like nothing was changing?
You keep praying—but you're still waiting. You keep helping—but nobody seems to notice. You keep serving—but you're exhausted. You keep doing what's right—but doing what's right hasn't necessarily made life easier.
Eventually, you may start wondering: “Why should I keep going?”
Galatians 6:9 speaks directly to that moment: 📖 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Notice that Scripture doesn't pretend we never become tired. Weariness is real. But Paul encourages believers not to allow weariness to make them abandon doing good.
Think about farming. 🌱 A farmer plants before seeing a harvest. There is a season for planting. A season for watering. A season for waiting.
And eventually, a season for reaping. 🌾 Our spiritual lives can feel the same way. You may not immediately see what God is doing through your:
But don't assume that “I can't see the results” means “nothing matters.”
God sees faithfulness that other people overlook.
And Galatians 6:9 reminds us that there is a “proper time.”
Not necessarily our timetable. Not necessarily the outcome we imagined.
But God's call remains: Don't become weary in doing good. If you're exhausted, rest. If you're discouraged, pray. If you need help, ask. If you've fallen, get back up.
But don't allow discouragement to convince you that faithfulness is pointless.
🌱 Keep planting good seeds. ❤️ Keep loving people. 🙏 Keep trusting God. 👣 Keep walking in obedience. ⏳ Leave the timing of the harvest in God's hands.
Maybe somebody reading this is one difficult day away from quitting something God is asking them to continue.
